Can gold jewellery tarnish or change colour over time? Pure yellow gold does not tarnish and will retain its original colour forever, however, the strong presence of alloys in a 9ct and 18ct gold jewellery are susceptible to discolouration. Please refer to our care instruction to ensure their longevity. Hallmarking All of our pieces are stamped with 375 and 750 hallmarks for 9ct and 18ct gold respectively. Pieces which weigh over 1 gram have a further hallmark engraved to show they have been individually certified and tested by the UK Assay office.
